Membership

AIWA members are individuals and members of existing associations in different African countries.

Membership of the Association is open to all ladies holding the professional insurance qualifications in member countries and those without these qualifications but who are career women in Insurance.

Register of Members
  • Each country shall submit to the Association, a register of its members for whom registration and subscription fees have been paid.
Subscription
  • Each new member shall pay a registration fee and the current annual subscription fee before being admitted to membership of the Association.
  • Associate members: These are members of African countries whose dues have been fully paid to the Association and are listed in the members’ directory of the association of their countries.
  • 0rdinary members: These are members from other continents whose dues have been fully paid and listed in the directory of this Association.
  • Withdrawal of its membership as may be accepted by the Executive Council.
  • Any member country who fails to pay its dues fully for three (3) consecutive years shall cease to be a member of the Association.
  • A listed member of a country may be delisted from the directory of members due to any impropriety, forgery or any other act or misconduct / un-professionalism which will be detrimental to the image of the Association based on the recommendation of the Country’s Association or the Executive Council.
  • Incapability to perform his/her obligations due to mental disorder;
  • Also any member who ceases to be a member of the Country’s Association automatically ceases to be listed in the directory of the member country in the records of the Association;
